A Solid Projector
This is one quality 1080P Projector. The picture quality is very sharp and crisp. Set up is very easy and only takes a few minutes. It connects with WiFi without any issues. We first set this up in our backyard for Monday Night Football on our inflatable screen. It was a hit. It has all the apps. It is small, portable, and very easy to carry wherever you go. I really love the autofocus feature. The sound quality is ok but I think you better suited using bluetooth speakers if you really want to carry the sound. This a budget friendly projector that is solid on picture quality and features. It’s a keeper.

Clear and sharp picture.
I bought this projector with intention of using it for my Halloween decorations but when I tried to set it up it positively surprised me. Quality of the picture is best I ever experienced. Self focus feels like high class feature compared to other projector that I have. Connects easly to wifi and has already pre installed apps. I tried it in my backyard and watched the movie while having bonfire and we had wonderful time. Speaker is loud, could connect another external one if needed. I’m planning to take it camping using my power generator. Easy to set up even without manual.

Would Buy Again. Picture is Bright and Clear.
I’ve had a couple projectors in the past that were not smart projectors that was very challenging to connect to streaming platforms. That’s not the case with this one! I use it for streaming games and movies on the wall of our living room when we need two screens because the kids want something and I want my game. The quality of the projection is very bright and clear , better than I was expecting. The included hdmi made it a grease to get set up. I would buy again for sure.

I ordered this projector to use around the house and in the evenings out in the balcony.The projector has a small-ish physical footprint though there are much smaller projectors on the market if that is your need. It did come really well packaged for protection with everything needed to get started contained in the package.It is almost full plug and play and what little set up there is really simple. I think it took maybe 8 min total from plugging it in to watching a movie and most of that was me just playing with features and adjusting the screen size to see which size I wanted for the room.The set up is guided if you prefer or you can do it manually yourself. If you are new to projectors then the guided set up is best.The distance and angle will make a big difference and I made sure to use the optimal distance recommended based on the screen size I wanted.Navigating the software is very intuitive and straight forward. It’s not overly complicated and I found everything I needed quickly. The projector comes with a manual as well that can help you navigate.The included remote works well with no lag and quick response to touch.The projection image itself is clear, crisp and rich in color. I projected on to my bedroom wall which is a very pale grey and it looked great so on a white wall or screen it will really pop.The audio is clear and projected well however I’ve only used it in smaller areas but there was no distortion even at higher volumes. I can add Bluetooth or wired speakers to it if I want to boost the sound.I was able to connect to my own devices easily as well as pair headphones and then I tested plugging I headphones and everything worked great.I really like how easy this is to move around for use in different spots inside and outside at home. We are doing a movie, bonfire and s’mores night with the projector this week now that the weather is cooling off and I’m looking forward to it.Overall we are happy and impressed with this projector. It’s really well made and gives a high quality movie experience.

I have an Optoma LCD projector that broke unfortunately so I got the Boldever Mini Projector to try out. I knew that the Optoma is lot brighter but since I have a dedicated space for projecting I thought it could work out still. Both projectors are 1080P so I thought resolution-wise they should be similar. The big plus is the Boldever projector is a lot cheaper than the typical LCD projector.First, the Boldever projector has a very different look than the typical boxy projector. It looks more like a large track light. At first I was worried that it would just tip over as the projector is not centered with the base. However, most of the weight is at the back over the stand. It’s a nice design feature to be able to rotate the projector to aim it at different heights from straight ahead to upwards at the ceiling. There is a HDMI port at the back but with the built-in apps unless you want to connect something like a DVD players, there’s not many other uses for it. At the back there is also a USB port to plug in any media on USB sticks, an Audio Out and a power port. It’s very clean and minimal design. The only button on the projector is a power button, as everything else is controlled by an included remote. Just a note, batteries are not included for the remote, but a HDMI cable is included, which is a very nice touch!Setting up the projector is super easy. I just placed it on a table in front of the screen. After plugging in the power and turning the projector on it takes about 30-60 seconds to power up. One issue I had was on first power up the image was upside down even though the projector, by default, was set to table top mode. Interestingly, I had to switch it to ceiling mode to get the image for table top mode. Note though when using the projector for the second time the image flipped back to the correct mode so I had to set it back to table mode. It’s been working fine ever since so it seems to be a one off issue. Anyway, when turning on for the first time you just need to setup the language (defaulted to English), the time (defaulted to EST) and add a WIFI network. The projector supports both 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz. After that it’s all ready to go! As it has built in apps like YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, etc you can start using it without anything else!The software interface is very straightforward. If you have used an Amazon Firestick the interface is basically the same. There are lots of features like Bluetooth for audio, built-in speaker settings, picture modes (including one custom), etc. All of the features are controllable by the remote control. This includes dedicated buttons for some of the apps, buttons for focus and keystone adjustments, along with the usual curser, stop/play, etc. type buttons. The remote is unfortunately not backlit, which would have been appreciated. I found the auto focus function works quite well. On the occasion it can’t focus properly though so manual focus is required. The keystone on the other hand can be a bit wonky. It only does vertical keystone for you need to make sure the projector is aimed straight at what you are projecting to. I found the keystone rarely gave me a rectangular screen. Sometimes it is close though. One thing I noticed is the screen cannot form a perfect rectangle. The bottom and top appeared a little curved always. It’s not too noticeable though.Where I thought the Boldever projector shined was picture quality. I thought the picture looked really good for an inexpensive projector. I didn’t really see any artifacts for moving images, which was a really welcome surprise. The only thing is the image is not the brightest. I think it’s usable for a dimly lit room still but definitely not in a brighter room. It looks washed out. Also, I think 6ft from the wall is about the max I would set the projector. Any farther and the image is too dark. At 6ft it’s a balance between brightness and image size. The manual states optimal image is at 6.7′ for an 80″ projection size. That’s not bad actually. I don’t think any bigger works will. If you keep it below this distance, for casual viewing, the quality is quite good.A few minor points to bring up. There is no lens cap so dust will get on the lens. There is a cover at the top of the projector that can be opened to access the back of the lens for cleaning. Boldever includes some swaps that can be used to clean this to get rid of dust. I do not think the bulb is replaceable as there is no access I can see. However, since it is LED it should last for a long time. Another thing to consider with projectors is fan noise. There is a decent amount and if you do have to sit close to the Boldever your will hear the fan blowing. For mounting the projector comes with a 1/4″ screw mount like what cameras have. It can be mounted to a tripod and ceiling mount. If anything breaks, Boldever does include a 2 year warranty plus lifetime support. That’s a year more than typical projector warranties.Overall, I thought the Boldever worked well for a budget, casual viewing projector. It’s great it has built-in apps so you don’t need to buy another streaming stick. It is very portable with its unique design. I found the automatic focus and keystone a bit hit and miss though. However, you can adjust them manually to get it to work. The picture quality was very good at 1080P. I found the image crisp and motion smooth. Note I didn’t try sports though. Though it has a clear picture it’s not the brightest projector. I think it’s only usable in a dimly lit room or better yet in a totally dark room. Also the best position would be about 6 feet from the wall so you will need to evaluate your location to see if the Boldever would work for you. For me, I thought for what it is the Boldever is pretty good, hence the 4-star review. I would recommend if it you are looking for a simple yet inexpensive projector.
