Wonderful ozone-producing UVC lamp for travel
Most UVC lamps use quartz glass that block the portion of UVC light that breaks oxygen in the surrounding air down into ozone. While UVC light disinfects much of the disinfectant ability of UVC lamp to disinfect is also due to the ozone…especially when it comes to porous items. This is because UVC disinfects but has *near-zero* penetration ability whereas ozone can seep into the pores of material such as fabric and rubber. The ozone works similar to bleach and oxidizes and kills the cells of anything living: plant, animal, fungus/mold/mildew, and bacteria.My normal UVC lamp is literally 10 times as powerful as this one, but this one is essentially a mini version of it: you can tap the switch 1 to 3 times and this will set it for 5, 15, or 30 minutes (max) of operation with a 15-second beeping delay to make it easier to place it where you are going to in order for you to not look at the light.A much bigger one can disinfect a bathroom, or even a whole room if run enough times. This more portable one is great for travel or use in a drawer, cabinet, bucket, or box. For severe odors running it many times is necessary, but it will get the job done.Compared to a similarly-sized one I got on Temu for almost the same price, this one is *vastly8 better (with the timer-mode switch (versus just an on-off switch), solid construction w/ some metal (versus pure plastic), and is great in that it includes a spare UVC bulb)! It has also stickies on the bottom you can optionally use to stick to a drawer.The video shows the lamp being used in a bucket style drawer (ozone mostly sinks, heavier than air…similar to dry ice evaporating and sitting in a cup or bowl, but invisible) which is an ideal arrangement/use of this lamp. You can see the shoe pad inserts placed upright facing the bulb to catch the UVC light, but much of the effective cleaning will be from the ozone produced. Flipping over the shoe pads for the light to catch most of the other side would definitely need to be done. The lamp could/should also be played inside the shoe for the UVC light to hit the inside of the shoe (with the exposed part of the lamp aimed down toward the sole). The ozone will help the socks that are in the drawer as well (not so much the light).It could be used for traveling in a suitcase, or in a bin with sports shoes/gear that gets sweaty and can’t be cleaned in the clothes washer. One could even take a small train cosmetics suitcase , cut a whole in it, and create a near-sealed container to disinfect cloths when washing them is not practical so long as the material would otherwise be safe to leave out in direct sunlight for a couple weeks.

Worked ok then it wouldn’t turn off. We have it plugged into a surge protector and to turn it off we turned the protector off but when we turned it back on the lamp came back on too. Don’t feel safe with it.

Ozone free ;No damage to your health by Ozone. Kills dust mites, kills orders, makes a noticeable difference. You probably will need an extension cord to be able to place it where you want. Great product – you buy and be happy.

This Saniter light is great. I have Chronic Heart Failure. My room needs to be Sterile. I definitely recommend for health reason to kill Bacteria and small insects

MAY, have issue.
The first unit I received would not turn off using the main switch or the remote. Had to unplug the power cord to shut down, which is not good since it could be harmful to the body to be exposed to this type of light.The replacement unit I received worked properly the first two times of use, then the same issue occurred. Was this a coincidence?

The UVC sanitizer light, and the remote control, work as expected.Of course, I have to take the manufacturer’s word for it that it is UV-C light that is being produced, and this UV-C light disinfects by removing microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi) from the surroundings.Caution: close the door(s) to the room, and don’t get that light directly into your eyes.
