had to have a second rotator cuff surgery the first time. I did not have this machine used ice packs which were awkward and hard to keep on. the machine looks small but is perfect size. I froze water bottles and just exchange those out and adding water to the fill level. only had to change ice bottles once daily. really helped with pain control and very easy to use. highly recommend if you’re having shoulder surgery but also choose this model because could use in the future for other limb surgery such as knee or elbow or hand or foot. money well spent

Does the job and then some
I bought this to help with shoulder surgery recovery, and it was awesome. The pad is just right for the shoulder. The pump is pretty quiet – I actually wore this through the night, and it did not keep me awake. This was less expensive than other machines, but it seemed to have everything I needed. I loved the 20 minutes on / 20 minutes off setting. After I used it for a week, I lent it to a buddy for knee surgery recovery, and he used it for a couple of weeks. Now it’s in the basement waiting for the next friend who needs it. So, I would say, without a doubt, I got my money’s worth out of this.Quick tip: instead of ice, use frozen water bottles. I used 8 little bottles, 4 at a time and it was easier to deal with than lots of ice.

Hoses leak.
I can’t use it because it leaks so bad. I’ve tried numerous ways of connecting the hoses but continues to leak no matter what I do.

Excellent pain relief after rotator cuff repair.
This cold therapy machine is a game changer for relieving pain after my husband’s rotator cuff surgery recovery. My only regret is that we didn’t have it at home right after surgery, we waited about a week to order it, and it would have really helped in the first week. The doctor’s office said it wasn’t necessary, but a cold therapy machine was recommended by several people we knew that had shoulder surgery. He is 4-weeks post-op and it is still helping with pain. We use 3 frozen 20 oz bottles in the water and that keeps things cold for most of the day. There has been no issue with leaks, and the noise is barely noticeable on the highest of 4 settings. It can be programmed for constant use or variable time on and time off intervals. We even figured out that the shoulder wrap could adapt for a knee. Not a perfect fit but definitely would work.

Quiet, great value and small.
This is a great little machine. The pad however is a funky shape for the shoulder. Rotator Cuff surgery leaves you with a foam padding when you leave the hospital and this pad does’t conform to the shape. Overall, it’s a slick little machine. I would recommend it. Quiet and great value.
