They work fine
Work as expected. They are all within a percent or two of each other, I didnt buy these for lab accuracy but for the size and ease of use. Just open the box and bam its on, just look at it to tell temp and rH.
Töm in CNY –
comes with batteries. Most within about 1% of humidity and a half a degree on temperature.
** Update: I have since been able to group these with my other hygrometers. It would be more accurate to say that this group is more consistent. But I would say that the temperature is high by about 3°. End update***I’ve bought these in 12 packs previously. This package seems to be more accurate than the bunch I bought last time from a different seller. They come with plastic tabs to keep the batteries from draining. I have seen these sold on Temu for less. However, I realized they weren’t coming with batteries. So if you’re shopping around, that’s another thing to consider. Overall, I’m very happy. With coupon these were about $1.75 each. October 2023.

My plants and I are loving the data…well, maybe they don’t directly appreciate it, but they are healthier as a result of my increased awareness. The sheer number of these bad thangs that come in the package has me slinging them all over the house. Even got some directly in the pot, which has helped me realize there’sa huge difference in the ambient humidity and the in-pot humidity of healthy plants. My best plants seem to like 15-22 units of humidity more than is in the room.Paired with the 3-in-1 soil tester (assuming sold by a different seller) I’m feeling more aware and comfortable in knowing what plant’s want.

Ya get what you pay for….
Edit: Checked accuracy again, half using the Boveda 75% calibration pack, and the other half using the more common wet salt test. Both sat for 22 hours @67 degF. The Newlight66 are ALL reading at least 11% low (60-62%). I also put a Govee meter in each bag and they were both at 75% +/- 0.4%. If you want to use the Newlight66 meters to control humidity on something important, like expensive cigars, expensive musical instruments, or medicinal herbs, don’t waste your time or money.I put all 12 Newlight66 hygrometers into a gallon ziplock bag and put that into a small cardboard box under my bed for 17 hours. Also in the bag were a calibrated Fluke 971 meter and two bluetooth Govee meters. The Govee meters and the Fluke all showed the temp was 63.1 DegF +/- 0.8, and humidity of 69% +/- 2.0%. Seven of the Newlight66 devices seem “somewhat” useful, meaning they aren’t too far off (temp +/- 4 degF, humidity +/- 5.4%). The other seven are WAY off! They are all showing a temperature of ~81 deg, and the humidity levels seem to be stuck at 60-61%, even after removing them from the bag. I’ll be returning them. Typical cheap imported junk.
