High-quality smart door lock
Very nice lock, it works great and it is very friendly to use. I installed it fairly easy as the instructions are pretty straight forward. It allows you to have different codes and provide temporary codes to others if you are not home and they might need to get in the place you installed it. It locks very well and allows you to automatically close the lock after 30 seconds if you want to (I do because of my kids). Overall, a great price for a very high-quality product.

Excellent, Versatile Smart Lock!
I have a few Philips smart locks around the house and I have become a big fan of them. All offer a boost in home security thanks to top tier design and build quality. This lock is no exception. Compared to the others I have, this is the “base” model. It doesn’t have Wi-Fi or Bluetooth so you cannot be remotely locked or unlocked. Still, it’s an excellent lock for those toying with the idea of a smart lock and don’t want to spend a fortune. It allows you to ditch your keys to use a fingerprint or PIN code to unlock the door. Installation is easy and it will look good on your door too. All around, it’s a solid, affordable lock that will upgrade any home.

a real mixed bag…but some excellent customer service!
The company reached out to me to address my concerns and ultimately provided excellent customer service and made things right. I’ve changed my rating to 4 to reflect this. I still have concerns re: installation, although reading here, most people seemed to have no trouble with it (are there more than one version of this product?). I appreciate hearing from the company and good customer service makes all the difference (a rarity these days).PREVIOUS REVIEW: Now that they are installed, I’m fairly happy with them and they appear to function well. But the installation can be a nightmare. I bought 2 of these, one for the entry door from the garage, and the other for the front door. Installed the garage one first. All went well until I tried to insert the connection screws through the door hole into the outside piece. As much as I tried, they would just not go in very far. I removed it from the door and tried screwing the screws in just to see if they actually fit. Well, the left one was ok. The right one would only go in so far. So it was obviously flawed/damanged. At that point I should have wrapped it all up and sent it back, but I was too far in the process. So found another shorter screw to kind of function and got it in (it is not the best choice and security may be a concern0. I really should have returned the faulty one…The other huge design flaw is the corded cable from the outside piece to the inside – there is literally NOWHERE to put it when you’re snapping on the cover. It is seriously ridiculous. I tried moving it around and around and finally FORCED the cover on. Yikes, terrible design. Really terrible. I had read this in a review, but thought – user error! It wasn’t.Once installed, it fired up easily and the programming could not have been simpler. Fingerprints worked great.Installed the 2nd one on the front door, and it went much more smoothly (because both screws actually fit!). But the corded cable still presented a challenge (as it is a design flaw). After about ten minutes I managed to FORCE the cover on this one too. Again programmed easily. But I did discover another issue with this one. My house faces east-ish and there is sun on my front door. It is almost impossible to read the numbers on the front panel because they are so dimly lit. If you have the same issue I would not recommend this unit. However, as I mostly plan on using the fingerprint reader, I don’t have to see the numbers.I still gave it a 2 stars because it seems to function well, but the other issues are still a concern, and if the cover pops off or fails miserably (due to the faulty unit), I’ll revise this score.

i’ve ordered 2 of these. i love that it locks itself after a set amount of seconds. easy to program with fingerprint. and i like that it doesn’t need wifi and comes with a key in case the battery dies, although mine has not died yet and its been 6 months. Getting it on was a little tough – you don’t * have * to drill through the door but it makes it more secure if you do. Fit two different doors, one left facing and one right facing – an be either.

Amazing lock
Video instructions were easy to follow. However it would have been a lot faster to install if we didn’t opt to drill an optional hole to keep it even more secure. So far so good. It does not have the ability to lock or unlock with the app but I love the one time passcode option for guests. Took about 1.5 hours to install and set up. Not sure of battery life because we opted to use Duracell batteries instead of the provided ones. Will never go back to normal locks because this password one is amazing! Also like that it doesn’t have wifi because it works during power outages and it can’t be hacked into but that’s just personal preference.

I literally removed ‘checking if the front door is locked’ off my nightly to do list. I did not even know it had an auto-lock feature when I bought it and that is now my favorite part.

Better than Amazon version
Great lock. My first keyless was the Amazon brand, and this lock is WAY better. The overall quality and build is strong and the face appears like glass in comparison to the matte finish.Setup was simple. App is only for one time codes. No other functions.The lock mechanism is super smooth. Locks and unlocks quickly with the fingerprint or with pin code.I wish it auto locked quicker. The shortest interval is 30seconds. Not necessarily a drawback. I suppose the Amazon version had shorter intervals to choose.

Issues with locking.
The door installed fairly easy but there is an issue with it working properly. The door lock fine from inside with zero issues. The door will lock from the outside with the door open but will not lock from the outside when the door is shut.Issues are now resolved and the door lock is currently working flawlessly.

Pretty straightforward installation. Easy set up. Don’t need neither WiFi nor app. A simple yet sophisticated lock with three options to operate: physical key, pin code or fingerprint. The fingerprint scanner is absolutely fast. I am quite impressed with the quality of this product at such low price point.

It’s very easy to assemble. Works well and it has 4 ways to unlock the device. We don’t want a device that connects to wifi for security reasons and this is what we need. There’s an app but it is optional as it’s for 1 one-time code only. All setup can be done on the device, just keep the manual for the number keys you’ll need. Overall we are happy with this purchase and recommend this product.

Very hard to install. Power connection cable very short. Couldn’t be installed as instructed.It would have been good lock otherwise. I don’t recommend this product.
