Compact, clean working unit.
I was going on a trip to Europe and the hotels we were staying at didn’t specifically state they had CO2 detectors. I figured it was easy enough to bring a portable, compact unit along for the trip. I tested this at home buy using some matches, and it passed the test. I think it’s a great value for the money, it looks good, the battery life was great, and it’s loud enough to let you know when there is an issue. It seems pretty accurate base on my limited testing, it has to be better than nothing. And it’s very easy to use, just turn it on and set it down or use the magnet, or clip and attach it to something. It’s so small you won’t take up any space in your bags.

This portable carbon monoxide detector is a life saver, and I mean literally! It has many use cases. Do you want it to be your 1 and only detector for an entire household? No, of course not! Its meant to be portable. Take camping, take into your RV. Take it to a hotel, whatever the case is.I can tell you this, it is coming with me anytime I travel from now on. Its coming to hotels or anywhere else I go!It has a bright LED display. It showcases the carbon monoxide level large and front and center. Then it has the humidity level, temperature, and battery level indicator as well. You can set the PPM detection (parts per million) to a higher or lower value depending on your use case.Its extremely portable, extremely convenient, and it includes a strong magnet that you can use to mount it or a paracord with a carabiner attachment to hang it on a thumb tac or nail etc.The biggest downside is the volume. For the size you knew it would lack somewhere and its the volume at which the alarm goes off at. Its not the loudest. I haven’t tested actual dB levels but its not waking up the entire house. Keep it close to you in a hotel for sure. The battery life is great. I find myself charging it once a week for about an hour. It is USB C rechargeable.

Not durable and does not offer peace of mind
I can’t trust this product unfortunately. The sensor started going off, indicating high carbon monoxide levels in the tent despite adequate ventilation. After walking the detector outside and resetting it multiple times, it still continued to produce erroneous values. This continued even after being outside for an extended period of time, nowhere near anything that would produce carbon monoxide.

It’s sensitive!
While this product hasn’t actually detected carbon monoxide (thankfully), I do have faith that it would!I was driving with this in my lap and I let one rip and next thing I know the alarm went off. Totally freaked me out, but the numbers quickly started to go down. I was like there’s no way that was because of a fart, so out of curiosity I farted again and sure enough it started beeping saying there was dangerously high levels detected. It quickly dropped back to 0, so I know for sure it was indeed the fart. Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “silent but deadly”. Anyways, seeing how sensitive this detector is to a fart, I have faith that it would indeed detect carbon monoxide!

Low Cost Alternative
I use this in a Cessna 172. I don’t know how accurate it is, but I tested it with vehicle exhaust and got immediate results. I also have one of the small paper ones as a back up.Due to the hot weather of the summer, no cabin heat is on. But, while I done have any duct leaks, or exhaust leaks, it will be better tested in the winter.

GREAT CO DETECTOR!
Im a firefighter and actually use this at work when im on shift. It measures the same levels as our more expensive CO monitors our department purchased. Also, I take this in my 5th wheel when camping and on a windy evening while the generator was running it picked up the CO before the 2 monitors mounted in the trailer did. We also take this on vacation with us to have one in our hotel room. I definitely recommend it for multiple places to use.
