Reliable and Fast Leak Detection – Great Peace of Mind
This is a great value for what you get. The set comes with four water sensors and one hub, and I’ve placed them in key areas around the house, under the bathroom sink, in the furnace pan, and beneath a toilet sprayer in the master bath. Each one has metal contacts on the bottom and an additional top sensor, which gives you more coverage depending on how water might pool or spray.I tested each sensor and they responded within seconds of coming into contact with water. The 120dB alarm is loud enough to hear from another room, and the Wi-Fi alerts on the app are fast and reliable. I like that the hub has a rechargeable battery, so even if the power goes out, I’ll still get notified (especially useful if you pair it with a UPS to keep your router running too). One of the best parts is that it warned me about a slow leak from the bidet sprayer before it could cause any damage. If I hadn’t had the sensor, I might not have known until it soaked into the floor. The only downside is that it uses a proprietary app rather than integrating with something like Kasa or Tapo, which means managing one more app on my phone. That said, the app itself works fine and gives helpful notifications like low battery alerts on each sensor, so I’ll live with the extra app.Overall, it’s a great smart home tool for anyone serious about preventing water damage. Highly recommended.

    Perfect system for us.
Setup was easy and the sensors are very sensitive. The components are well made and attractive, this appears to be a much more expensive product than it actually is. I spent 15 years in the flooring business processing insurance claims for water and fire losses, I’ve seen homes torn up for weeks because of a leaking water line… most often the line to the fridge.

Quieter than it claims, but otherwise decent.
The alarm is easy to use, but not nearly as loud as it claims. I’ve tested this with a sound meter and the best result was under 105 dB, well below the claimed 120 dB. I only thought to test it for actual readings because it sounded too quiet. We are placing this in our basement, so it needs to be loud to be heard in the living area. We could hear it when we were listening for it, but depending on ambient noise it might not be noticed right away. I’m knocking 1 star off for the false claims about the volume. I debated taking 2 off, but everything else, so far, seems good, and if you don’t need the louder volume it is a good alarm.Edit: We’ve since had a major storm and some water did get into where we had placed this alarm. It did its job and woke us up, though the low volume, and short period of alerting before going silent for a bit, had our sleepy minds take a while before recognizing what we were hearing. The instructions are easy to read and understand. There is only a single button, but it is enough to set and test the unit. It is small and light and can fit in most places it would be needed. I only have a single unit without the gateway, so can’t speak to how any connected features work. “Smart” or “cloud” apps are so unreliable and unsafe these days that we tend to avoid them anyway.I tested the unit by placing it in a plastic container and slowly dripping water in. It detected the water and set off the alarm quickly once the water reached the probes.

Works well with Tuya and automations
A little confusing to configure. The sensors come pre-connected to the Hub, which I didn’t pick up on in the beginning. I have this working with the Tuya app and a corresponding automation that shuts off my main water line when a leak is detected. GREAT piece of mind.My only gripe is that when you rename a sensor (e.g. sump, water heater, etc.), parts of the Tuya app still show the default sensor name. So if you have to reconnect the sensors to the hub, you have to pair them in order; otherwise, you may show the #1 sensor as being associated with the #4 sensor in the app. Not a big deal. The notification shows the custom name anyway.I’ve attached a video of the main valve shutting off, due to a water leak test.

Reassuring to know if I get a leak …
So glad to know if I have a leak I can catch it before damage is done. I tested it, it’s loud and effective.

Need this for peace of mind
Really great peace of mind when away to get alert of leak. I have one by washer machine and one by indoor humidifier. Has great app. Arming and disarming is quick. Alert sent to phone. Test it few times with water droplets. Went off. Leaks happen in houses all the time so do yourself a favor and get this.

VERY COMPLICATED, Only sound alarm works
If you just want an alarm, they work good, but VERY difficult to set up. VERY complicated! I was never able to get to work & I’m tech savy…. VERY disappointed.

I just finished replacing the filters on my reverse osmosis system and I placed this Stechro water leak detector underneath it for piece of mind against water leaks. Last year the cheap saddle valve for the water supply to this system failed and the leak wasn’t detected until I found a large amount of water in the basement below. This water leak detector is very compact and appears to be well made by the feel of the plastic and the overall appearance of the device. It uses 2 AAA batteries which were included. A detailed instruction booklet is included and gives instructions for power on/off, alarm volume settings, testing, resetting alarm and how to hook up to a gateway. I will just be using it as a stand alone monitor under the kitchen sink.A nice feature is the detector will emit intermittent beeps when the batteries need replacing, ensuring the device remains operational when out of site. Other water detectors I have used in the past did not have this function and I was continually finding them with dead batteries making them useless for detecting leaks at that point. If the batteries last up to three years as advertised that will be an dded bonus.A unique feature is the drip detection on the top of the detector which will detect leaks from above, however the detector will need to be positioned carefully for it to work reliably. I tested both the dripping and leaking sensors and they worked well detecting small amounts of water.Overall this compact well made water leak detector from Stechro has given me piece of mind for my under-sink reverse osmosis system. I’m confident that if a leak were to occur it will be detected and I will be alerted to the situation. Definitely recommend.

I installed this Stechro water leak detector near my sump pump area as a precaution. In the past, the sump pump has occasionally stopped working, causing minor water issues, so I wanted something that would alert me immediately if that happened again.Setting it up was straightforward. The unit is compact and doesn’t take up much space near the sump. It comes with batteries included, so it’s ready to go right out of the box. The alarm is loud and hard to miss, which is reassuring if a leak or water buildup starts. I like that the sensor has multiple detection points on the bottom, which seems very sensitive to even small amounts of water.Pros:⦁ Very easy to install and operate, no wiring needed⦁ Loud 120dB alarm that is noticeable from a distance⦁ Compact design fits well in tight areas like a sump pit⦁ Multiple sensors ensure quick detection of water⦁ Comes with batteries and tools for quick setupCons:⦁ The drip sensor on top requires precise placement to work reliably⦁ Uses AAA batteries; larger batteries might last longerOverall, this water leak detector provides excellent peace of mind. Knowing that I’ll be alerted immediately if the sump pump fails or water starts accumulating is a huge relief.

I bought the Stechro water leak detector after a small leak under my sink went unnoticed for days, and I wish I had gotten one sooner. The setup was super easy — I just put the sensor where I wanted it, and it was ready to go. The alarm is loud enough to hear from another room, and the adjustable volume is a nice touch if you want something less intense for smaller spaces. I really like that it can detect both slow drips and pooling water, so it’s useful in different spots like under the washing machine or near the water heater. The IP66 waterproof rating makes it feel sturdy and built to last.I’ve been testing it in different areas around the house, and it reacts quickly whenever it senses water — no delay or false alarms so far. The compact design makes it easy to tuck away without getting in the way. The LED indicator is bright enough to notice even in dim areas like the basement. Overall, it’s a simple but reliable gadget that gives me peace of mind knowing I’ll get an instant alert if there’s ever another leak. Definitely worth it for preventing costly water damage.

We have laundry on an upper floor in our house, and we were always nervous about possible leaks after a bad experience with a loose water pipe in a previous home. This provides nice peace of mind knowing that we’ll be notified if there’s any water leakage under the machine. The alarm is very loud so it’s quite hard to miss. There’s no real setup involved, it’s very straightforward. It’s compact and doesn’t take up much space, but it’s highly sensitive and activates immediately when it detects water. A very worthwhile purchase to help prevent expensive damage!

This item works very well! Iti didn’t try the drip function since that one seems harder to use. The drip needs to drop onto that specific sensor area in order for it to work, so unless I have a very specific drip I can predict, it wouldn’t likely happen, so less likelihood. But regardless, either that or the base could trigger the alarm, so that’s enough. So I tested the wet floor function by putting the sensor in a wet sink. I didn’t plug it or anything, merely it was still wet after I turned off the tap. Yet just that was worth for it to start ringing. It has 4 sensor feet on the ground, and as long as two of them next to each other get wet, it’ll ring. So that worked very well.It requires two AAA batteries, which were included. They came with the sensor opened so you could put the batteries in, because once it is closed, you’ll need the included tool to pry it open. It’s not hard to, but just a bit more troublesome.I only wished that it was louder. If it was placed in a basement corner, it might not be heard from ground floor unless the house was completely quiet. Especially the softer beeps that tell you it’s out of batteries. Aside from that, it’s all good.[ This is a review for:Stechro Upgraded Water Leak Detector, 120dB Water Sensor Alarm, Water Leak Detectors for Home, Floor Flooding in Basement Bathroom Kitchen Toilet Laundry ]
