I easily made my own Faraday cage with a metal garbage can
I very easily made my own faraday cage in case of EMP or Carrington Event to house my small electronics, and this TitanRF Faraday foam gasket made it easy. Some designs called for aluminum tape to completely seal the can, but then you can’t easily get into it and have to re-tape it every time. The Faraday foam gaskets make it cleaner and easier.I bought:• Behrens 20 Gallon galvanized steel garbage can from my local hardware store• TitanRF Faraday foam gasket• TitanRF Faraday tape (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CRLCGCH/)It was a breeze to line the inside of the metal garbage can lid with the foam gasket, and hold it in places it wants to bend in with the Faraday tape. I also used the tape to line the seems of the can, and holes where the handles are. The lid presses down tight into the foam gasket creating a seal, and blocking radio waves. I tested it with a handheld radio set to NOAA and with the volume all the way up. The signal totally dies when the lid is all the way closed. No radio waves are getting through.Make sure you line the can with something non-conductive. I used old carpet scraps.

Material is great. Implementation is very difficult.
You will not realize an EMP proof shield seal by pressing this gasket on a door against a plate.

Was debating on getting a faraday bag which costs $$$ or do this $50 option. I tested before and after verified the product made a difference and works as advertised. Simple 5 min mod to protect any powered optics or tools you may keep in your safe. Game changer.

Make your gun safe a Faraday Cage
I don’t know if this will 100% work until I see my gear live through an EMP. It’s a small price to pay for what I hope is good insurance against such.That being said, this is the only way I’m aware of to seal up your gun safe seams and protect the contents from an EMP. I also purchased a shielding cloth to cover the electronic entry mechanism. I wish I had a manual twist dial for entry to the safe but those seem to have gone the way of the wooly mammoth.My five star rating is based on “hopium”. I won’t know the effectiveness, until I know. By then, you won’t be reading this. 🙂

Doesn’t work
I usually don’t write reviews however for a faraday cage and if this is actually needed, you will be disappointed with this product.I’ve listen two photos#1 Was my first attempt and failed to block my cell phone signal.I thought this would be the best way to seat the seal but it failed.#2 was my second attempt and although the seal was more uniform, as I figured when you put the lid on it would push the seal up and away from the can.Maybe I did this wrong but I was unable to find any contact information to this company and cannot locate any photos or instructions on how to proceed with this type of insulation with this seal.At the end of the day two or three layers of foil tape totally seals my can and blocks any type of signals going to my cell phone while performing a test.Hope this is useful!

Good fit on my safe
These moulding fill in the gaps between the safe door and the door opening, further providing protection from EMP attack.

Attaches well but I can not tell if it will work unless we have an RF serge. I use these to replace the gasket on 45 gallon metal drums with a snap lock lid that I use to store items from an RF serge.
