I absolutely love this meter.1. It’s a brand I trust (and the brand we use on the ambulance and in the clinic I work at – 2 different/unrelated companies). TrueMetrix, by Trividia Health.2. It’s small and portable – so it can go with me everywhere making it much easier for me to check my blood sugar levels.3. The “koozee” is rather cool at keeping it all together.Note about the Koozee (called GoPak on the manufacturer description) Feature:The koozee is new/unstretched when purchased. You might think the strips or the lancet pen won’t fit. Have no fear, though – You just need to stretch it out a bit. For the part that your test strip bottle goes, I just stretched 4-5 times real quickly with my fingers. After having the strips in place for a couple of days, you can easily add/remove the test strip bottle to the koozee. With regards to the elastic for the lancet pen, I just used an ink pen to stick through it and stretch it out 4-5 times before getting the lancet pen in place. After a couple of days, no issues retrieving or storing the lancet pen from it’s elastic strap.Note about the Download Feature:As a private person (not a health care provider), the manufacturer’s {Trividia Health) software is really not productive. It’s designed more for a doctor office and not for the individual personal to track/see trends in their glucose numbers. The True Manager AIR app (Android) is not compatible with this meter. This meter only has wired download capabilities/does not have Bluetooth.Due to it’s size is completely understandable that it doesn’t come with Bluetooth capability. If you want small size – this is the meter to go with. If you require Bluetooth downloading, go with the True Metrix Air (I have used the Air model years ago.).

I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 due to the tiny, TINY test strips. While this kit is very easy to carry with you, it is difficult for me to handle it. As I have aged, my fingers don’t always cooperate with me. Years of keyboards, crochet and life have left me with some pain and numbness due to the chronic conditions. While this kit is complete with everything you need to test your glucose, and it is very portable, I can’t recommend it to anyone with dexterity issues. This would be fabulous for younger people. I like this brand for other supplies, but this kit is just not for me. Affordable and reliable! Just too small for me.

I bought this True Metric kit for myself because my sugar(glucose) is a little high than a normal range in my blood test result. My doctor recommended me to have this kit at home to monitor my glucose level every day. It came with good instruction, and easy to use . It is a compact size meter and requires a little blood sample for test strip to work. It is almost same kind that the doctor used in the office. Result appear less than 5 seconds,Accurate. Hubby loves how convenient this thing is. It’s small a pretty self contained. We ordered this because his insurance company keeps sending him strips to fit this tester and at the time he used a different one. Excellent value for the money. Lasta a long time on a charge. Very accurate when he compares readings.
