Nice device
I bought this device to get more i/o ports on my M4 Mac Mini. This unit uses one port – USB A, C, or Thunderbolt – to provide three additional USB C ports and four USB A v3.0 ports.I already have several similar units, but they aren’t designed to support peripherals that draw a lot of current, such as multiple terrabyte HDDs, or optical drives. The Adapter / Hub has a separate Type C jack to bring in additional power. You are not *required* to provide additional power; it works fine without it, as long as the attached devices don’t demand a lot of power. I provide extra power to mine with a Type C charging cable that attaches to a Sabrent 10-hole charger. My sole concern is that this unit gets warm. Mounted vertically on a cabinet wall that’s at 75 ºF, with the Sabrent charger connected and no loads plugged into the hub, its temperature increases to more that 99 ºF. Although it’s warm, it shows no functional issues.

Great item, worked perfect!

It gets the job done, but they made 1 mistake
Yes it has and USB-A tip with a usb-c adapter, but it should’ve been made vice versa with a usb-c tip and a usb-a adapter. That would allow faster data and power speeds. With the current design, it’s limited to usb 3.0 speeds even if you the usb-c adapter.

Great product!
I have had this for a while now and it does everything I need it for. Looking in the product description it says it is not for charging, honestly I do not need it for that. I used it to connect my phone to my computer and it worked perfectly. I only have a charger with USB-C on that end. It works for both USB-A and USB-C very well. I plugged in my USB-C Earpods that I have not been able to use because I have an older iPhone and it works perfectly on my Linux PC. It sounds really well too.Overall I love this product and it can do anything I need it for.

Liked This Enough That I Bought Two
There are never enough USB ports on any computer. My desktop was maxed out when I bought this, and it’s been great. The unit is small enough that it’s never in the way. It has the “classic” USB and an adapter for connection. Thank you to whoever designed the thing, as it has just enough wire that I can move the item wherever I need it to be.

Worst USB hub EVER
No stars at all. Zero stars. This either came defective, or is the worst USB hub I’ve ever seen. It only recognizes the USB wireless mouse. It doesn’t recognize my external USB HDDs. And all of this is through the USB 3.0 port. If I connect it through the USB-C port, it doesn’t recognize ANYTHING. I even threw it away, just like the money I spent buying it.Don’t buy this. You’ll throw away your money.

A great USB hub.
This makes a great USB hub for my laptop and all its peripherals (SSDs, HDs, Disc writer, etc.) when using the power port. Very compact & light weight so it travels well, but it’s still sturdy. Also has USB A and C ports, so it’s flexible without adapters.
