Questionable functionality
The product seems to be good, but 2 RED FLAGS become quickly apparent. First, the instructions for the product tell the user to plug in the units as high in the room as possible because CO rises. In research, you can see that CO is near enough to N2 & O2 that it mixes very well into the air and does not accumulate high. Second, the monitor has a digital display which seems to be there to show the CO ppm, but it does not, There is no display of the actual ppm. I would expect much better documentation for a professionally designed product.

Not trustworthy and that goes double for their customer service
Bought in November 2024 and it appeared to work until August 2025 when it started talking saying CO levels were out of standard but displaying 86P instead of any ppm and never sounding any real alarm. Have the booklet but could find nothing even suggesting what that means. Looked up what 86P indicates online, and it appears to say the product is at the end of its life. After 8 months? Have multiple other CO alarms and none of them indicated anything. Moved it around to different outlets but the same thing happened. Finally moved it to an outlet outside in fresh air and it continued doing the same thing. Obviously it’s defective. Will attempt to see if there is any guarantee on this thing but honestly would not trust it or a replacement if one should be offered. Detecting poisonous gas is far too important to trust it to something like this gadget. Spend the money and buy a decent name brand detector.Received an email from seller shortly after submitting the above less than complimentary review stating their apology for any inconvenience and offering a full refund if I simply asked for it, which was something I had not done. I replied with my appreciation and asked for the refund they had offered expecting to modify my initial review to compliment their customer service.I then received another email requesting a picture of the defective item and stating I had owned it for a year, which was incorrect, and suggesting I had somehow not serviced and maintained it properly. How one can service and/or maintain something that simply plugs into a wall socket was never made clear. They stated that it might have been exposed to excessive dust or other contaminants, but it had simply been plugged into an outlet in the hallway of my home. I sent a picture along with this information then received another email telling me to use a hairdryer to clean out the dust, which was not present, and plug it back in. I did both with no effect.It had become clear that their offer of a refund wasn’t genuine, and they were stonewalling and attempting to gaslight me into believing this was somehow my fault. I told them this and asked them to either live up to their offer of a refund or say they had no intention of doing so instead of continuing this foolishness. I then received another email stating they were going to ask “the boss” what to do and asking me to be patient. That was several days ago. I do not expect a refund but that is not really the issue. This thing only cost around $30 and is not worth the hassle, but in my opinion any business that acts like this should not be selling things on Amazon. I most certainly will never even consider purchasing anything from them in the future and recommend anyone else think long and hard before doing so.
