The system worked as advertised
I ordered this to provide alerts for water leaks which had caused a great deal of damage. Installed it several months ago with the 4 sensors at various strategic locations. Yesterday the alarm sounded for the first time and indicated water on the floor in the laundry room. I checked and found the alarm was caused by some excess water from mopping the floor. Glad the sensor detected even a small amount of water.

Very easy to set up
Anyone that has a house that a water leak could do significant damage should have this product. Before I had water leak sensors through my alarm company and recently found out none of them were working. I had been traveling and living with a false sense of security for water leaks. This Govee system is 100 times better than being aroused in the middle of the night with blaringing alarms and sirens from a false alert which acutally happened. Very easy to set up. Now if I am away If I have a leak I get an email and text alert, I can get a neighbor to turn water off to my house.

EASY SET UP!!!
This was the second water leak detection that I ordered. The first set from Metak used the Tuya app. I could not get the Metak system set up and their technical assistance was not helpful at all and there was no phone number to call for help. I was very frustrated and just gave up after several hours of frustration.This Govee Life water leak detection system was super easy to set up and I am very pleased so far. This company actually has a customer service number that you can call if you need help too. Amen!

to configure with EERO mesh, use the guest network @ 2.4 GHz
a wonderful concept – with one install/configuration speed bumpthe limitation to only connect to 2.4 GHz networks is a modest pain. In the end, I enabled a guest network that only supports 2.4 devices and connected to itimpressed that the device range is very good – I have a sensor in our well vault, 100+ yards from the house!so far – working

Great little units! Very sensitive and quick response to moisture. It gives me a peace of mind knowing I have my all my sinks and my washer monitored. I have had two small leaks under the kitchen sink and these units caught it and notified me before there was damage.These units notify me on my phone. I also have a whole house water shut off valve that I can control by my phone. So, I can shut off the water remotely from anywhere if I get a water leak detection!!NOTE: some insurance companies will give you a discount for using these devices

Setup was straight forward, pray I don’t need them to work as desgined.
Setup was straight forward.I’m not going to knock off starts for my nit-picks.. but hopefully Govee sees the feedback.It all adopted well, worked as expected.Also did the integration into Alexa eco system, so my dots and shows holler at me when a water leak sensor trips. I put where the sensor is in the sentence for the announcement.So let the nit-picking begin…Following the directions, the only part that the manual wasn’t well written and did not sync with what I was seeing in the app, was making sure notifications were turned on for the device. That small section of the manual seemed someone glanced over and didn’t give the writing much thought.(I have a Pixel7pro phone)Rest of the manual was fine or good enough.Adoption of the gateway was quicker, less steps than the manual showed.I used AAA rechargeable batteries.They do run at a slightly lower terminal voltage than standard alkaline AAA, so the software shows 1 bar down for battery status with freshly recharged AAAs installed. Since this is all software based, should have an option to allow for rechargeable LiOn batteries, so the battery level displays at 100% when freshly charged and installed. And the low battery notification is better calibrated. Haven’t had them long enough for a low battery, but I’m assuming here that it too needs to be addressed based on battery chemical type.Alarm, if you pick a standard sound on your phone, it comes and goes quickly. No persistence.The Govee software doesn’t have a “latching” or “persistence” option, that the notification/alarm keeps going till you acknowledge it on your phone. I searched and found “Siren” in my phone’s stock sounds that lasts and lasts,, maybe it is latching, or goes on for a very long time. After 30 seconds of it blaring, I assumed it will be good enough and used it. Everything else I tried lasted for a second or 2. Not good.Govee should either create a latching function / option when setting up sound based alarms/notifications, or provide a default sound that goes on and on, and on for a long time.In the end, the best was to have Alexa do an annunciation , which I have the routine doing the same sentence 4x in 1 action, and I have the same action 4 times, going to all my dots and shows….. so should be enough to wake me up from a dead sleep.Face it, this is for water leaks, damaging water leaks, it’s an emergency to be addresses ASAP, so it needs to wake the heck out of you.If we get enough ran, could get a basement leak, I want to be woken up to deal with it before it gets too bad.If the water heater starts leaking, same thing..A faucet or drain leaks at a sink, same thing…These are not casual notifications that can wait till the morning.

Govee Water Leak Detector 2 works great. Even when using a spray cleaner. It sets off a siren and immediately send a text message to my cell Water Leak detected at the Toilet. I have a 4 pack. Best Investment for my Condo.

Pedi estos sensores ya que tengo un hermano con discapacidad que suele dejar las llaves abiertas del lavamanos hasta que se desbordara el agua en los baños, afortunadamente esta solucion me ayudaria a resolver este problema, probe cada sensor para colocarlos en cada lavamanos de mi casa pero mi sorpresa fue que uno llego defectuoso en todo lo demas funciono bien y pueden ser desactivada la alarma desde la aplicacion.

I highly recommend this item. We were struggling for over a week trying to locate water infiltration. The unit was very easy to set up and within 3 hours all the alerts went off allowing us to detect where the damage was . I’m telling everyone that this is a must have for all households.

I like this product so far. Set up can be a little tricky but once set it appears to work well and give you some peace of mind. Please familiarize and use the app to set up, do not try to pair via your Bluetooth list.Customer service is excellent, please contact them via the app if you have any issues, they solved my minor problem quickly.
