Excellent Teaching Tool: Add this animal cell model to your educational kit of tools to liven up your biology lesson plans, with this ultra functional pull apart foam model to learn the different functions and areas of the inner workings of the cell
Strong Magnets: To ensure that the two halves stay together, we’ve embedded four strong neodymium magnets, two on each side to make sure that our foam animal cell can stay together but also be easily stored for later use
Great Gift: Versatile with adults or teachers; this hands on biology model works great as a cross section cell anatomy prop for adults to teach with
Includes More Organelles: Our Animal cell Learning model includes import organelles that are often overlooked like Microtubules, Nuclear Pores, and so much more
More Fun: A physical hands-on approach to science enhances the interactivity of in-class project work. Take your lessons into the physical world to promote engagement

Cell stays together.
These are better than the ones I had. The have magnets that hold them together so that they can stal together better.

Good handheld cell model for small groups
*This model is actually spherical, so it comes with a stand unlike the plant cell one, so it doesn’t just roll away. Always a nice touch.* it has the vinyl chemical smell that inflatables sometimes have.* It comes with an answer key printed on slightly heavier than normal paper cut to the size of an index card. You could probably laminate it onto an index card.* the sticker is printed well, no smudging and very minimal blurring. It’s a fixed to the foam well so as long as you don’t pick at it for hours it’ll stay* The magnets protrude a bit and have warped and wrinkled the sticker a lil bit. It’s not a big deal to me, doesn’t change the functionality but it doesn’t look immaculate.* I thought it would be slightly bigger. It’s fine enough for if it’s in your hands, or to show to one or two who are right next to you, but it wouldn’t work in front of a class of 20, unless you had a camera zoomed on your palms and projected (which is a thing some teachers have access to now)* I like that the two sides mirror each other, so it’s like you cut the cell in half. I was fully expecting it to be the same image on both sides, but they went to the trouble to flip it which makes it look much nicer imo.* It packs away well which is important for things like this- they come out for a unit and then go back.* The foam is heavy duty. It feels like the kind of foam they use for gymnastic mats. It squishes, but not too much and not without a lot of effort.* It was cool to get my toddlers interested in cells just by looking at the different structures and colors and asking ‘what’s that?’- little scientists in the making.

Fun biology tool
We love science in our house, and this 3D cross sectional model is a really fun way for our daughter to learn about cells and foundational biology (not to mention a refresher course for mom!). One half of the cell has all of the parts labeled for studying/memorization, and the other half does not have the parts labeled, but has letters next to each with an answer key to test your knowledge. I do wish that the parts within were textured/three dimensional instead of a flat print, I think that would really elevate this product and add a lot to the learning experience.Based off the other reviews, it seems like the print quality is hit or miss, but the images and words are pretty clear and easy to see/read on the one I received. Still, the overall quality is just okay- not great, but not terrible. There are some wrinkles on the surface as you can see in the photos, and some slight peeling around the edges, so I’m not sure how well the foam material will hold up over time. The answer key seems decently thick/durable, but it would be nice if it was laminated.I was back and forth on giving this 3 stars or 4, mostly because of the quality issues mentioned above.. I’m not sure it’s worth $18, but I still gave it 4 because I still love the concept of this model and will get good use of it.

Subpar?
About what you should expect. Mine had two large circles on both faces where the magnets are underneath which hold the sides together. The image on top thus isn’t exactly smooth and is wrinkled, it distracts from the products main point which is to have labeled and unlabeled organelles.

Nice manipulative.
This model appears as a red foam ball that sits on a clear acrylic stand, but it is more than just a ball. This has 2 halves that attach together by magnets inside the 2 halves, but when you pull it apart you get to see where all of the parts and pieces of an animal cell are and what they look like and how they are in relation to other pieces. On 1 side you get the name of the feature printed beside the colorful depiction. On the other half, the reverse of the pictures, but this time there are no names, just a letter. This is great for test prep or just learning. The answers are included on a printed Answer Key card. The printed graphics are pretty good, not a sticker. However, the places where the magnets are, already look like they could pop a hole soon, but they still feel secure and there’s no cracking.
