Affordable LED Strips That Made My DIY Tree Look Amazing
I bought these lights to decorate an outdoor Christmas tree I made. I know the listing says they’re for indoor use, but I’ve been using them outside and they still haven’t burned out. Honestly, even if they did, I wouldn’t mind—the two rolls cost me only $10, and I’m only using one. I still have the second roll brand‑new.To keep them from getting damaged, I don’t turn them on when it rains. I wait about 24 hours after the rain stops before using them again. I also wrapped the control box in a plastic bag to protect it from water. Because the sensor is covered, I can only change the colors using the app on my phone—the handheld remote doesn’t work through the plastic.It’s a small inconvenience, but the final result looks so beautiful that I really don’t mind at all.

This LED light exceeded my expectations. The lighting is bright but not harsh, and the quality feels very solid. Installation was quick and simple, and it works perfectly. I love how it transforms the space. Definitely recommend!

Great product, minor issues
These are the first set of lights of this manner that I’ve ever bought, so I can’t speak for how well it does against other brands, but the product works well overall. It’s been sticking to the wall for a couple days with no issues, and putting it up wasn’t too difficult. The length of the cord to the outlet isn’t so bad but it could be longer, but it’s not an issue.The thing that bothers me the most about them is that while all of the LEDs work perfectly fine when the product is turned on, there are two lights that glow dimly blue all of the time when the lights are turned off. It seems there’s nothing I can do to fix it. At first I thought I probably messed it up with my sweaty fingers but it seems many people have the same issues with these same 2 LEDs. While mine don’t glow the wrong color while it’s on like some other people have had, it is still a little annoying. The good news is, it’s very dim and unnoticeable if the lights are off during the day. You can only really see it when your room is dark.Another thing is that the remote is pretty finicky, but I can live with that and it’s not worth docking a star for. Especially with the tint buttons in DIY mode it gets a bit hard to control; sometimes the remote just does the wrong input. But the fact it has a custom color mode at all is pretty cool.Everything else about the lights is great, though. They shine bright and stick good, and all of the color options are vivid. The rainbow fade and flashing modes even have a speed option. Overall I’m satisfied with this product especially since it’s relatively inexpensive.PS: Yes you can cut the strips to shorten them. There’s a special scissor line showing you where to cut them.

Great for room decoration
Bought these a couple years ago. Moved apartments. Had these bad boys sitting in a garbage bag. Painfully but satisfyingly untangled them. They were in my previous apartment for 2 years in storage for 8 months and they still were able to restick! Renter friendly tried and true, no residue or paint chipping which was my big fear.Reapplying:Unfortunately some of the RGB did get messed up in the process and the white no longer works but that was more of a me problem. I guess yellow is fine, at least it left me with great cozy mood lighting. Some also did get discolored which is pictured. Once again, not the fault of the product, and I wasn’t expecting to get multiple uses.Easy to use, can use any LED remote with them. Really bright. I have no lights in my apartment besides the closet for reasons I wish whoever built this apartment building would tell me. Luckily, it’s 2024 and we have the technology. I did try to keep some of the backing on but was super surprised that sitting in storage for a year they didn’t melt together. You can just take off some of the back and stick it on it WILL hold. Maybe even sticky putty would work so you don’t mess the colors up like I did. No timer, but you could just buy one. Various settings colors and brightness levels. Does get very dim and bright. Would recommend any day for the value.

Great lights but…
These lights were easy to put up. And I really like the lights and the many color options and the ability to brighten or dim them. The different settings were far more impressive than I was expecting.However, I am concerned with them. I kept them plugged into the wall as someone likely would. One day I noticed a loud humming sound and it was from the power pack plugged into the wall. The power pack was also very warm almost hot. The lights had not been used in a couple of weeks After unplugging, the humming stopped.I believe this emits more than average amount of emf as I was feeling weird being near it (like when I hold my phone while it is charging) and felt normal after I unplugging it from the wall.We still have it installed and it still works great. I just leave it unplugged until I want to use it.It’s made me think more about the electronics in my home.For lights and functionality: 5 stars, all the way!For my concerns on safety and radiation, it gets 3 stars, perhaps less.
