The lamps are uv lamps to kill bacteria. You simply screw in the lamps into a base and turn it on. These are not lamps for lights and will hurt you if you stay in the room with them. They are easy to set up and it took me 2 minutes to do so. They look cool and seem to function well. Can’t tell since we are talking about bacteria. The room does smell better. They wrk well and should last a long time. Only draw back is thst they are only 25watts.

This all star is to my first purchase, every is right, and results is great..But my second purchase made me disappointed very.Just two used bulbs in bulbs box only, without their whole set package box, also missing bulbs stands, and no remotes. Don’t know who made this happen.

Very powerful
First of all, some precautions:1) When you buy this item, ALSO BUY UV PROTECTION GOGGLES. These are a must — without them you risk severely damaging your eyes.2) MAKE SURE ALL LIVING THINGS (PEOPLE, ANIMALS, PLANTS) ARE KEPT FAR AWAY from this while it is on. Again, this device is no joke. It’s like bleach on your eyes and can kill plants as well.3) The base has both an on/off switch as well as a remote. The remote works fine but the switch must be turned ON for it to work. This means that when you plug in the light, it will turn on until you switch it off with the remote. Hence, the prior two warnings about taking out all living things and wearing UV protection glasses.4) Make sure you have proper ventilation. In all likelihood using this device will emit strong odors (THIS MEANS IT’S WORKING) so be sure to open some windows or have the vent on while in use.Pros:This thing works. You get two bases so that you can use both lights at the same time. It is POWERFUL. Some people on here I see complain about the stench. THAT MEANS IT’S WORKING. If you are getting a strong odor from using this, it is from the dead bacteria, germs, and viruses that are releasing chemicals — that is the stench.The price is not terrible either.The remote works in my experienceCons:The bases are very cheaply made with cheap plastic. They’re not the sturdiest thing ever, so be careful of the light tipping over.The fact that the light switch must be manually switched to ON before the remote can work kind of detracts from some of the initial usefulness of the remote.Overall, I highly recommend this. Though it’s a bit cheaply made, it’s also extremely effective and powerful. Though, again, for God’s sake REMOVE ALL PLANTS AND ANIMALS FROM PREMISES BEFORE USING AND WEAR UV PROTECTION GOGGLES.

Quit working
Worked fine for two months and one of the bases quit working and blew the bulb. Thinking it was a bulb issue I bought two more bulbs to find out it was the light itself. Replacement bulbs are as expensive as the original purchase with the light fixture.

Smells really bad, So i originally want to return it, but I guess it does the job. my room feel sanitized, but agian really strong Ozone smell..and the smell lasts quite long time.

Designed to kill airborne fungus spores and bacteria, it is probably best situated near a source of airflow like a register or dehumidifier. It’s also possibly a one stop pest control unit: no more need for roach, mouse traps or ant powder? Not sure about this yet.Very nice build quality, I was impressed with the copper (not plated brass) bulb socket secured with screws (not rivets).✅ That you have to turn it on with the cord switch first isn’t a problem: just look away when starting it, then IMMEDIATELY turn it back off with the remote. You can still use the unit if the remote fails.✅ Redundancy. Remotes are agnostic: both work with either bulb base.✅ The remotes are RF, not IR. They broadcast through doors and walls, with a line of sight range of about 40 ft. The receiver is in the base, not the bulb.✅ The LED at the front of the remote is only a status indicator. It doesn’t signal the base.✅ If the lamp is ON when you press a timer button, the lamp acknowledges with a pulsed OFF. If the lamp is OFF, it simply turns ON.✅ The lamps and sockets are standard 120 VAC 60hz, giving you flexibility in other off label applications.Aside from the visual exposure health cautions, prolonged use of❌ ozone can corrode metal objects❌ UV-C can disintegrate plastic objects.I don’t know yet whether this is a concern.
