I’ve been using the Eve Energy Strip for over a year now, and it has been absolutely reliable. The build quality is solid, and it integrates seamlessly with Apple HomeKit, making it easy to control and automate. One of my favorite uses is for my plant lights when starting seeds for the garden—it allows me to set precise schedules and adjust them remotely if needed. The energy monitoring feature is also a nice touch, giving insight into power usage. No connectivity issues, no hiccups—just a well-designed smart power strip that does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Perfect Strip for HomeKit Enthusiasts
I’ve recently been on a mission to utilize HomeKit within my daily life and was on the hunt for a power strip that allowed me to be able to control individual outlets via the HomeKit app. Through a few days of research and comparing energy strips, I stumbled upon this strip by Eve.At first, I wasn’t completely sold on the idea of spending $100 on a energy strip that only had three outlets. However, with no other HomeKit enabled options in sight, I decided to pony up and purchase it to see if it was worthwhile.Out of the box, I did have a little difficulty pairing it. If you also have the same issue, try resetting the strip by holding down the first and third power buttons for 10 seconds until the lights blink. After doing that, I was able to successfully pair my strip.The strip is incredibly sturdy and does have some nice quality weight to it. It does not feel cheap, and, considering the price point, I am happy with the quality of the construction. They also did not cheap out on the wire, as it provides you with about six feet of length from plug to strip. The Eve Home app is also rather intuitive and allows you to control your other HomeKit enabled accessories directly from there as well.Prior to purchasing this model, I did try to go with a cheaper alternative that did similar things. Although it was okay for a little while, I found myself wanting to have the control of my room at the power of my fingertips within one centralized hub—HomeKit. This was the missing piece I needed to complete my setup.

Reliability is everything!!!
I’ve been through multiple cheap, China-made smart outlet plugs and strips. They all have issues one way or another whether it be not connecting to Wi-Fi or Apple HomeKit, unresponsiveness, or flat out random failures. I was hesitant to shell out the $100, but man it is WORTH it. I haven’t had a single issue since the day I bought it, months ago. It was quick and a breeze to set up, no issues whatsoever. Highly responsive. The surge protector itself doesn’t feel cheap and has a little weight to it. The EVE app for iPhone is also pretty neat, it allows you to monitor your power usage for each device you have plugged in. I don’t use it much honestly but I think that’s definitely a feature some people might find useful. I do wish it had more outlets or at least some USB ports considering the price (they could have made it fit), but after all the frustration I’ve dealt with in the smart plug world, I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

Security Risk
Despite what Eve claims, this item does not work with Apple Home Kit. After continuously receiving “read/write error” messages when trying to set the device up, I was told that I would need to disable all my security protocols to get this to work. I would need to disable my VPN and disable Apple Private Relay. Even after doing all that, the device still won’t connect. If the device cannot work with Apple security enabled, then it does not work with Home Kit. This was never told to me when purchasing the product or in any of Eve’s advertisements. If you don’t want to be obligated to leave your network vulnerable to hackers and identity thieves, this product is not for you.

I recently started outfitting my home with a whole bunch of Eve stuff because it works great and so easy to use with my Apple phone. It works off an iPad too of course.Build quality- super nice build as far as power bars go. Probably over the top with the aluminum body (I guess it is). Feels durable and high quality.Set up-easiest set up in the world. Open your “Home” app, click the + sign and scan the QR code on the back of the power bar.-follow the screen prompts and customize the power bar to your needs.Function-the power bar is designed for HomeKit. So if you have Alexa or Google as your smart hub this won’t work with those systems. Chances are you have an iPad or iPhone and that’s what you need to say “hey Siri” turn off bla bla bla.- this power bar has 3 outlets- the power bar can be controlled by Siri using your iOS phone/tablet or home pod.- if you’re old fashioned or don’t have an iOS device there are 3 buttons on the power bar to control each outlet independently.-each outlet can be customized and renamed within the Home App (the home app is already built into your iOS device). You can also download the Eve App from the App Store.- once you customize each outlet you simply tell Siri to turn that device on or off. For example I labeled my first port “computer”. So know I say hey Siri turn on/off my computer and she does it.I don’t think I’ve seen another power bar outlet on the market. Only wall plugs which sometimes limit your outlet because they take up so much space.Hope this helps you!

Use this to control the living room lamps as they are all close together, had it a few months and it’s working great. There is a lot of room between plugs just in case what you need to plug in has a bulky plug, and this was smart design. Would recommend to anyone, is cheaper than buying the individual Eve plugs, and each of the three outlets can be controlled separately as if they were individual anyways.

Love this power strip. Easy to set up and love that each plug can be operated or scheduled separately. I have several Eve products and all are great quality and easy to set up. Eve support is incredible and fast.
