Reduced RF from electronics in test
Measured reduction in RF radiation just using it as a blanket on top of electronics. Did not block all of it, but the large piece of fabric was perfect and much more affordable. It worked well in my test using a meter to make my office less like a microwave!

Great for wrapping long items
The material is well made and hasn’t frayed with was my main concern. I had a long item that had a few electrical components on it that I wanted to make sure were safeguarded against any potential electrical charged damage. I was able to wrap it a few times and it works great as I tried calling my cell phone and it couldn’t. I feel much better knowing my expensive components are protected.

Good material
Review of Faraday Fabric: Military Grade Conductive Material for Fabric Protection ShieldingI recently purchased the Faraday Fabric Faraday Cage Military Grade Conductive Material for Fabric Protection Shielding, and I must say, this product seems like the real deal. The quality of the fabric is impressive, and it matches the specifications mentioned in the product description. I ordered 3 yards of the fabric, and I received exactly what I expected.Pros:Quality and Construction: The fabric feels robust and well-made. It’s a blend of copper and nickel, which gives it a metallic sheen and a sturdy texture. This combination ensures that the fabric is both conductive and durable, perfect for its intended use as a Faraday cage.Versatility for DIY Projects: If you’re into DIY projects, this fabric is a fantastic choice. It is easy to cut and sew, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, from creating RF-shielded bags to building custom Faraday cages for electronic devices.Price: At about $10 per yard, the price is quite reasonable for a high-quality, military-grade conductive material. Considering the effectiveness and versatility of the fabric, it’s a worthwhile investment.Size Options: The fabric comes in various width options, from 44 inches to 108 inches, which is great for different project sizes. I found it easy to handle and work with, even for larger projects.Cons:Stiffness: Due to its conductive nature, the fabric is somewhat stiff. This can make it a bit more challenging to work with for intricate projects, but it’s manageable with a bit of patience and the right tools.Performance: I tested the fabric’s shielding capabilities by placing it around a cell phone and a Bluetooth speaker. Both devices lost their signal as expected, which confirms that the fabric effectively blocks WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS signals. This is crucial for anyone looking to protect their electronic devices from electromagnetic interference or enhance privacy. Conclusion: Overall, I am very satisfied with the Faraday Fabric. It is a high-quality, conductive material that works as advertised and is suitable for a variety of DIY projects. The reasonable price and accurate sizing make it a great value for the money. Whether you’re a hobbyist or someone looking to build a more secure environment for your electronics, this fabric is definitely worth considering. If you’re planning to use it for more complex or lightweight projects, be prepared for some additional effort due to its weight and stiffness. However, for most applications, the benefits far outweigh any minor drawbacks. Highly recommended!

Not sure Yet if it works
I guess I don’t have any real testing equipment because nothing I try has any effect. I took a relatively weak magnet and put the fabric between it and the metal door I have. The magnet did not observe any sort of hinderance in magnetic force at all. I draped the fabric over my 5G router and I was still able to access the internet. I wrapped my phone in it and again, I was able to access everything. I got no messages about cell service or internet. Like I said, maybe I’m not really doing any real tests but this was my experience. I wanted to make some curtains to line my exterior walls and a few other things like a hat to block out the 5G and other dangerous signals from entering my brain but now I can’t be sure if I’ve really tested it or if it really blocks anything. I’ll update later if I get some equipment to make a proper test. The material is a very sturdy workable fabric.

My relatively-simple tests suggest that this is a quality product.
I intend to use this Faraday fabric to make an EMP-blocking container in which to store my laptop and everything else that’s in my laptop bag — the whole bag, actually – as well as other key electronic components. Quite frankly, if a nuclear blast were to create an electronics-damaging EMP event (considering the present crazy world situation at this point), maybe I don’t really want to survive! Nonetheless, if I WERE to survive such an event, I’d like to be able to access key personal and survival-related information that’s stored electronically on my laptop — not relying, of course, on the survival of the Internet. I, like so many others, have perhaps become excessively dependent on technology.I cannot evaluate the performance of this Faraday cloth simply by observation. Therefore I did a couple of tests.SURFACE RESISTIVITY TESTSee the photo labeled “Faraday cloth surface-resistivity test setup”, which consists primarily of two-aluminum electrodes that are approximately 12 inches long, are spaced 1 inch apart, and are pressed against the Faraday cloth using an insulated 10 pound barbell weight.• I first connected these rails to a high quality digital VOM with short pieces of heavy gauge copper wire (12 AWG).• I then measured the resistances between the two electrodes as 0.2 ohms.• I thereafter shorted the electrodes together and measured 0.1 ohm, representing primarily the connecting-wire resistance and contact resistance.• Subtracting the 0.1 ohm electrodes-shorted resistance from the 0.2 ohm electrodes-open resistance, I arrived at a 0.1ohm net resistance due to the fabric. This is obviously a crude, very-low-precision resistance number, due to the serious resolution limitations of the ohmmeter. Nonetheless, that number is about right per my understanding of good-Faraday-cloth surface resistivity, which I calculated as follows:Surface Resistivity = Resistance × [Electrode Width] / [Between-Electrode Distance]= 0.1 × [11.87 inches] / [1.0 inch] = 1.2 ohms per square.A surface resistivity of roughly 1.2 ohms per square is quite respectable for Faraday cloth.* (I found some commercial Faraday cloth with a claimed surface resistivity of 0.5 ohms per square, but my research suggests that such a low resistivity is exceptional.)Bottom line: this Faraday cloth should perform well.CELL PHONE RECEPTION TESTSee the photo labeled “Faraday-cloth cell-phone-shielding test setup”. The glass dish conductively sandwiches-together the outside edges of a double layer of Faraday cloth, forming a Faraday-cage. The bulge seen in the middle of this Faraday cage is my fully-shielded cell phone.• I first verified that my phone received cell-tower signals properly outside of this Faraday cage. The 4G cell-tower signal was strong. All four bars of the phone’s reception bar graph were illuminated.• I then called my cell phone from my landline and connected with no problem.• Finally, I enclosed my still-active cell phone in the Faraday-cage test setup and called it again. Results: no cell-phone signal; on my landline I heard the phone company’s “Unavailable. Please leave a message” recording.Although the cell tower signal present in this experiment was of course tiny compared to a nuclear EMP, it’s one piece of evidence showing that the Faraday cloth is doing its job.___________________________* NOTE: excess-fabric conductance beyond the ohmmeter-end of the electrodes — caused by the trailing mass of connected fabric — will create a slight measurement error. However, given the long length of the electrodes and the short distance between them, an AI consultation confirmed my unquantified guess that the consequent ‘end error’ is likely small relative to the resolution of the measurement.
