Faraday Fabric 43″ W×118″ L(Big 3 Yards) Faraday Military Grade Conductive Material: Item comes with a folded sheet of ‘How-to-cut’ the various items one would want to cover. A few cautions but not much on actual construction. I knew from previous study there were certain DO’s and DON’Ts to follow when making EMP proof bags. One being any hole no matter how small could be an issue. But since my main concern was preventing credit card info stolen while in my pocket I forged ahead. I made a bag for my credit card holder. I also cut small pieces of material that I folded around my credit cards in the little pouches they set in. I don’t know how much protection I get from that but I can hope.The material is very thin and almost soft to the touch. It is not slick like silk, so it is easy to keep the two pieces of material even while stitching. It is metallic so creases easily to get cut and sew lines. It does not ravel so there are no shedding edges. Other than being very light I had no trouble sewing it after I adjusted thread tension. The velcro dots are about 1″ in diameter and stick together very well. The sticky on the back of them is quite strong and is not easy to reposition, I tried. They should hold tight through several openings and closings.In the hands of someone who knew what they were doing, this could be a very handy item. There is definitely a lot of it.

More Than Enough Material For Covering Portable Devices
We’ve used Faraday bags before and wanted something we could use to make our own bag. This faraday fabric was perfect. While it comes with a lot of supplies and design suggestions to make individual bags – cell phone, laptop, tablets, etc – it can be installed in a briefcase or other bag you already have. It comes with self-adhesive Velcro that can be used either for the designs provided or to be used in the manner we are using it for. To test the fabric we placed items in the fabric and then attempted to find and send signal to them. When covered by the fabric our phones and tablets weren’t discoverable by WIFI, Bluetooth or 5G. We also used a scanner – bug detector – and they didn’t show up. So we use it inside either a backpack or a laptop bag and can move the fabric from one to the other by detaching the Velcro binds. Very pleased with this and appreciate the added layer of security it offers our data and electronic devices.

Does not function as described
This product does not block Wi-Fi and cell signal as described. I wrapped my phone up in six layers of this Faraday fabric and it still had enough signal to continue to live stream videos. Does not function as described

Nice Kit With Extras- Are Handy (Tips On Use In Review Too)
When it comes to faraday fabric, there are some things that you need to know which will help in using it.FABRICThe fabric is made from metal fibers. That means that any sewing machine needles or cutters (as in sergers) you use on this will dull them FAST. Plan ahead so you use them the least to prevent dulling issues. As for blocking, it works as well as other faraday fabrics we have used. I highly suggest doubling it or possibly tripling it as the newer signals are blowing past single layers in some areas now.SCISSORSAlso, cutting is wearing on the shears. Although shears are easy to sharpen compared to serger knives, it is still a great feature of this kit to have scissors/shears that you can use exclusively on the fabric without dulling your sewing scissors quickly.MEASURING TAPEThe tape is also a great inclusion in this set.VELCROIf you are wanting minimal sewing, the velcro pads in this kit allow you to make quick and easy faraday bags.CAN YOU USE THE FABRIC AS IT IS?We had an issue where the signals were so strong, we had to wrap up in the cloth just to get some peace for a while now and then. If you plan to do something like that, you have to realize that the edges of the fabric will ravel and ravel terribly. The metal threads will come off and get everywhere.Before you use this fabric, be sure to serge the edges with a serger, or if you don’t have one, then you can zig zag the edges with a wide zig zag stitch. Worst case scenario, if you don’t have any machine, you can overcast the edges with a needle and thread or buy some faraday tape and tape the edges. The issue with tape is that it can eventualy come off and that can be annoying.THE BOTTOM LINEThis fabric is comparable to others we have that work. The extras in the kit make it a good investment.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. This set is nice. The fabric is good quality. The extras included were well thought out and a nice touch. I recommend this as long as you take precautions in using this as laid out in the review.

Doesn’t work as advertised, missing items as well
First thing I noticed was the were no scissors. Looking past that I tested the material by covering my router and it changed nothing. Don’t waste your money.
