I installed these combo smoke and CO detectors throughout my house about six weeks ago, replacing my old standalone units that were getting close to their expiration dates. The setup was pretty painless – they come pre-linked so I didn’t have to mess around pairing them, just mounted them with the included hardware and they were good to go. The wireless interconnect feature works as advertised, I tested it by pressing the test button on the upstairs unit and all four alarms in different rooms went off within a couple seconds of each other which was reassuring. The LCD display on the front shows the CO level in PPM which is interesting to keep an eye on, mine usually reads 0 but I’ve seen it tick up to 3 or 4 when I’m cooking on the gas stove. The 10 year battery is really convenient since I won’t have to worry about changing batteries or hearing that annoying chirp at 3am like my old detectors used to do. Build quality seems solid, the plastic housing feels sturdy and the mounting bracket clicks in securely. I did notice the kitchen unit went off once when I was searing a steak on high heat with the blue LED flashing, though it settled down pretty quick when I opened a window. Might be worth positioning it a bit further from the stove if your doing a lot of high-heat cooking. The alarm sound itself is loud and effective, definitely enough to get your attention without being overwhelming. The light indicators are helpful – red for CO and blue for smoke makes it easy to tell what triggered it. Coverage range seems good, my house is about 2200 square feet and all units communicate fine even through walls. Installation instructions were clear and straightforward. For the price and the 10 year lifespan its a solid value compared to buying separate smoke and CO detectors, gives me good peace of mind knowing the whole house is covered.

Smoke and CO Detectors… Excellent Value!
My currently installed Nest smoke detectors are at end of life and Google no longer offers a suitable replacement. I needed to replace them, so off to Amazon I went. I had three requirements, smoke and carbon dioxide detection on the same unit, 10-year battery life, and connectivity between all three units, meaning when one unit goes off they all go off.These units arrived quickly and packaged well. I took them out of the box and set them up. Installation was a breeze. Tried them out with both smoke and carbon monoxide and the main unit sounded and then the other units near instantaneously responded as well. Great! The display on the front is illuminated and it is nice to see what the smoke detector is detecting. It is so important that you have all the smoke detectors in your house go off so that an occupant who may not be in the area detected is alerted that there is an unsafe condition. Seconds matter when there is a fire, especially today with all the synthetics and battery powered electronics in everyone’s house. These units fit the bill perfectly. The fact that they are very reasonably priced and don’t break the bank is an added bonus. Very good deal on these and happy I bought them.

Great Detector Set
Super easy set up. They are already all paired and have batteries installed, so they are ready to go. Just place them around the house for protection in every room. I like the display that shows current CO levels.
