1.Before you dive in, make sure your behind TV LED lighting is working by testing it out.
2.Clean and dry the spot where you’re going to install the LED TV lights.
3.Plug it in. It’s good to go with a TV USB port at 5V/1A, a phone charger, or a power bank that puts out 5V/1A.
4.Peel off the backing from the TV background light and stick it along the edge of your TV. If you hit a corner, just bend the flexible connector wire gently—don’t bend smart light strip itself.
5.Once you’ve got it set up, use the app on your mobile device to unlock all the features of the light strip.

After a week of testing the Nexillumi LED Lights for TV, a 13.2ft RGB LED strip designed for 32-65 inch TVs, I’m impressed with its performance, earning it a solid 4-star rating. The setup was straightforward, adhering easily behind my bedroom TV. Priced affordably, it delivers on its promise of colorful, customizable lighting that’s perfect for creating a cozy bedroom vibe. The only hiccup is that the strip occasionally turns on or off by itself when the TV is switched off, which might be an issue with my unit, but it’s not a dealbreaker given the overall functionality and value.

Updated, not what they used to be!
UPDATE: DO NOT BUY!!I originally bought this set in June of 2021 and they were great. Very bright and you used the “Happy Lighting” app to change colors, settings, etc. I moved the TV that those were on to the garage when I got a new TV for the living room. Since the last ones were so great, I decided to get these again for the new TV. These are not the same. First, the LED strips went from white to black (a good thing considering they blend with the color of the TV). After installing them the instructions said to download the “Illumi” app to control them. I thought that was strange considering they were the same as the ones I bought last year and used a different app. I just went in my Amazon history and hit buy again, so I knew I was getting the same set. The worst part is that these aren’t nearly as bright as my previous set. They are maybe 1/3 the brightness. The remote has several color option buttons. Choosing red comes up yellow. It has buttons to individually increase or decrease the amount of red/blue/green. These buttons do nothing. The next morning after downloading the “Illumi” app, my phone alerted me that a Solitaire app had been installed. I didn’t download it, so I uninstalled it. As soon as I did that my phone alerted me that another game (Blocks) had been installed. I didn’t install that one either. The only thing that changed was installing the “Illumi” app. After uninstalling it, things stopped being downloaded to my phone. I am returning these. They are terrible in every way.I had a different brand for another TV and they would change colors when I pressed the “OK” button on the TV remote. I had to get the remote for the lights and constantly change them back. These lights don’t have that issue.They are very bright and you can use the app to change settings (colors, flash to music, etc.). I tested these with the remote before installing them and the remote worked great. However, after installing them on the TV and placing the sensor for the remote to where it is visible, the remote no longer works. Our couch is about 17′ from the TV, so I assumed it was a distance issue. I then kept trying to change the color using the remote while walking closer to the TV. It still did not work. I even placed the remote directly on the sensor pointed at it and it still dosen’t work. (I tested the battery using my phone’s camera and it does work). I don’t know if it is interference from the TV or what. Not a huge issue, I just make any changes with the app, but it would be nice to be able to use the remote.The app is great. It offers you an unlimited amount of colors to choose from and you can adjust the fading frequency (faster or slower) as well.

I have received my item that seems to have some defect or failure in it. I installed it on my tv unit and the top, left and right strips where working fine and color was changing normally based on my color selection. However, the bottom strip was not changing and was emitting green color. I tried different colors but was not making any difference and color remained green
