A Definite Improvement Over the Previous Model. Can’t Live Without My SHOKZ.
This is my 12th pair of Shokz headphones I have purchased for both me and my family since 2019. Why so many, because I am a runner and so is my son, but I also have them on throughout the day. I like to have a pair to swap out and a backup pair. That is how integrated these are into my routine. I have recommended these to many people and they all own and swear by them now.I was hesitant to buy this new model because I saw this as a lateral move at best, but wanted to leave a review since I bought them on sale and realize the improvement over the previous model.CON: I will start with the only con I have so far. They eliminated the magnetic charging port which was convenient and I felt an improvement over the earlier models. They have moved to a USB-C connection with a rubber stopper to cover the port. Also, I have not tested the microphone for phone calls on this model, but I can say it was not the best on the previous model and they do make a different pair that is made specifically for that purpose.PROS: These are more comfortable and feel even lighter. The battery seems to be better. But the bigger difference (which I actually read on another review) is the fact that they fixed the vibration when you turn up the volume. I always tolerated it, especially if I was running in a loud area or on the riding mower and trying to listen to a podcast. But now that it is gone, I realize what a big improvement it is. Another thing they fixed on this new model that I felt like was damaging my hearing were the audio cues. When you would turn turn the volume up, the indicator for the max volume, pausing music, or changing tracks would also go up and blow out my ear. If certain notifications came through on my phone, that would also be at max volume and extremely loud even when compared to the music. This is a big fix for me and worth noting.I always recommend SHOKZ. They stand by their products. When I did have issues early on, they replaced the headphones within their generous warranty period. If you have not tried them yet, particularly if you are a runner or active, I suggest trying this model.UPDATE: While I am not changing the rating of these headphones and would still recommend them, I made an assumption that these would be great for really loud situations like using the riding mower with earplugs in. This was based on them fixing the vibration and audio cues at loud volumes. However, what I have notices as I have been using them is that they seem to have moved to a hybrid external speaker / bone conduction model rather than primarily bone conduction. Anyone who has had the earlier models might remember that they used to include earplugs for loud situations, and if you plugged your ears, everything go much louder because the sound was not relying on speakers pumping sound into the ears. That no longer seems to be the case based on my testing. This also explains other reviews stating at loud listening volumes, people would be able to hear what you are listening to. I would recommend looking further into this if any of these are concerns to you.

Love my Shokz and their Customer Service is AMAZING!
I have had my Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Headphones for 11 months. After 11 months of use, the headphones are still in like new condition. I find them comfortable and easy to wear for long periods of time–in fact I have forgotten I was wearing them a time or two. For me, the sound quality is great and phone calls have been clear. The battery life is really impressive.About two months ago, I started to notice that while I was using my Shokz that my iPhone would sound the volume adjustment tone (or beep) and flash the volume level image on my screen randomly. It took me a bit to figure out it only happened while using my Shokz. Within the last month, I’ve noticed some charging issues in that it sometimes didn’t charge fully even though it was plugged in all night. As of last week, I noticed they were having issues with turning on and/or turning off–but not every time. There is a YouTube video demonstrating how to perform a factory reset and some people have had success according to my research. However, there are a few in which that did not fix the issue–mine being one of them.I went onto the Shokz website and filled out a warranty claim. It was very easy to do. Their website was very user friendly. Their customer service department sent an automated reply with in an hour. It said they would be reviewing the information I provided, and please allow a couple of business days for them to get back to me. HOWEVER, I had an email the very next morning saying I was approved and gave me information about what came next. It was very simple and I couldn’t be happier with my customer service experience. They even signed their email the “Shokz Customer Happiness Team”. I am definitely a happy customer, and I would happily do business with the Shokz company again!

    A Game-Changer for Active Listeners
I’ve been a fan of bone conduction headphones for years, especially for running and cycling where I need to stay aware of my surroundings. After using the original OpenRun Pro for a while, I decided to upgrade to the OpenRun Pro 2, and wow, SHOKZ has really stepped up their game. I bought these directly from Amazon, and they arrived super fast in perfect condition. First off, the sound quality is noticeably improved. The bass is deeper and more vibrant than previous models—thanks to their DualPitch technology, I think—which makes listening to podcasts, audiobooks, or upbeat playlists during my morning jogs way more enjoyable. It’s not going to rival over-ear headphones for audiophiles, but for bone conduction, it’s top-tier. The highs are clear, and there’s minimal sound leakage even at higher volumes.Comfort is another huge win. These are lightweight (under 30g), and the flexible titanium frame sits securely without pinching or slipping, even during sweaty workouts. I’ve worn them for 2-3 hour runs with no discomfort. The open-ear design means my ears stay cool and dry, and I can hear traffic, birds, or my running buddy without issue. Battery life is insane—up to 12 hours on a single charge, and a quick 5-minute charge gives you an hour of playtime. Plus, they’re IP55 rated, so rain or sweat isn’t a problem.Pairing was seamless with my iPhone via Bluetooth 5.3, and the app lets you tweak EQ settings, which is a nice touch. Controls are intuitive with multifunction buttons for volume, calls, and skipping tracks. If I had to nitpick, the price is a bit premium at around $180, but it’s worth it for the quality. Also, if you’re in a super noisy environment like a busy gym, you might need to crank the volume, but that’s bone conduction for ya!Overall, these are the best bone conduction headphones I’ve tried. If you’re active outdoors and want safety without sacrificing audio, grab the SHOKZ OpenRun Pro 2.Highly recommend—I’ll be using these for years!

Hält also ewig. Keiner hat was getaugt.

Item is very good and I use it every single day, somehow, the power button failed to work. I contacted the vendor for the warranty. Without any questions and drama, they arranged the pickup and delivery. After a couple of days, I received a brand new item in unopened box.
