Excellent Teaching Tool: Add this plant cell model to your adult educational kit of tools to liven up your biology lesson plans, with this ultra functional pull apart foam model to learn the different functions and areas of the inner workings of the cell
Strong Magnets: To ensure that the two halves stay together, we’ve embedded four strong neodymium magnets, two on each side to make sure that our foam plant cell can stay together but also be easily stored for later use
Great Gift: Versatile for adults and teachers; this hands on biology model works great as a cross section cell anatomy prop for professors
Includes More Organelles: Our plant cell learning models include import organelles that are often overlooked like Microtubules, Nuclear Pores, and so much more
More Fun: A physical hands-on approach to science enhances the interactivity of learning. Take your lessons into the physical world to promote engagement

The plant cell
I love the details and the magnets that hold them together. Easy to read and use.

Love it!
Love this and love how it is magnetic!!

Subpar?
About what you should expect. Mine had two large circles on both faces where the magnets are underneath which hold the sides together. The image on top thus isn’t exactly smooth and is wrinkled, it distracts from the products main point which is to have labeled and unlabeled organelles.

Great learning
Bought as a gift great learning experience

Sloppy execution – difficult to read – it will definitely fall apart
When I first saw this product, I was shot right back to 6th grade science class with Mr. Shaffer, thinking about how I would make my model of a plant or animal cell (the most popular method that year was cake form – haha). But when I opened these up, I was instantly let down. The graphic is so blurry, I can barely make out some of the words. (ex: “Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum” is barely legible… I had to really look hard as I typed this to double check my spelling – because the letters blur together so badly) Plus, the words are written on a white background – so the letters can *try* to stand out against whatever background they are in front of. However, some of the word boxes actually coverup what they are trying to label (ex: Cytoplasm – at the top, you can’t even seen the small blue cytoplasm because the word covers it up completely. On the opposite cell half, you can see it a little because the label is only “B” to use as a learning tool.)The film with the graphics is a thin flimsy pieces of vinyl that I’d say WOULD have stayed on, if it weren’t for the two magnets that are underneath. They are so obtrusive and distracting that at first, I thought (hoped) that the cell model was 3D? nope – it’s just the two huge ugly magnets visible under the film. You can see around the edges of the magnets where the film is going from the magnet back down to the level of the foam. The magnet, overtime, will definitely rip the film and pull it away from the foam. These pieces are pretty light weight, they would have done better to have more, and smaller, magnets around the edges of the cell edges… instead of two huge ones right in the middle. All in all, just a sloppy job and I’m disappointed. I would not recommend. Almost $17 for two pieces of foam, two over-powerful magnet sets, and a blurry film that WILL fail is a major rip off.

Good handheld cell model
* it has the vinyl chemical smell that inflatables sometimes have.* It comes with an answer key printed on slightly heavier than normal paper cut to the size of an index card. You could probably laminate it onto an index card.* the sticker is printed well, no smudging and very minimal blurring. It’s affixed to the foam well so as long as you don’t pick at it for hours it’ll stay* The magnets protrude a bit and have warped and wrinkled the sticker a lil bit. It’s not a big deal to me, doesn’t change the functionality but it doesn’t look immaculate.* I thought it would be slightly bigger. It’s fine enough for if it’s in your hands, or to show to one or two who are right next to you, but it wouldn’t work in front of a class of 20, unless you had a camera zoomed on your palms and projected (which is a thing some teachers have access to now)* I like that the two sides mirror each other, so it’s like you cut the cell in half. I was fully expecting it to be the same image on both sides, but they went to the trouble to flip it which makes it look much nicer imo.* It packs away well which is important for things like this- they come out for a unit and then go back.* The foam is heavy duty. It feels like the kind of foam they use for gymnastic mats. It squishes, but not too much and not without a lot of effort.* It was cool to get my toddlers interested in cells just by looking at the different structures and colors and asking ‘what’s that?’- little scientists in the making.

Cross Sectional Foam Plant Cell Model – Excellent teaching tool!
I love that this is made of sturdy foam and shaped like a plant cell. They stay together with four magnets that are hidden under the foam fronts. One side has the answers to all the organelles and the other side has letters that correspond to the included card. Makes it easy to test your students. I love the way it feels and it is designed so it is conducive to learning. I ordered it to teach my grandchildren about plant cells. It is the perfect size for kids or adult hands. I am very impressed with the extensive detail covering just about every possible organel of a plant cell and my kids like holding and looking at it.

This is an amazing teaching aid
Its really easy to see all of the parts and to read the labels on all of the parts of this cell. The foam that it is made out of is pretty sturdy and makes it where I don’t have to worry about it falling apart while he kids are using it. The colors are engaging and the fact that they close up together with two magnets make it easy for the students to visualize it when it isn’t split apart. I also like that both sides are not labeled with the names of the parts of the cell. However, one side has letters where the names would be and a card that has the correct labels that are associated with each letter, making it easy to test how much the students have learned and retained about the different parts. A teacher or homeschooler dream tool to help with teaching cells.
